Thor, at Loki’s funeral: Can I have a moment alone with them?

Steve: Of course *leaves*

Thor, leaning over Loki’s coffin: Now listen, I know you’re not dead.

Loki: Yeah no shit

Except Norse custom was to cremate the dead.

Thor would absolutely insist on a “proper funeral” with cremation, build a ridiculously big funeral pyre, and make a big show out of lighting it until Loki had no choice but to reveal that he’s alive.

Thor, at Loki’s funeral: Can I have a moment alone with them?

Steve: Of course *leaves*

Thor, leaning over Loki’s boat before it’s to be put out to sea and burned: Now listen, I know you’re not dead.

Loki: No shit Sherlock, now help me out. I’ve got a substitute corpse I need to swap in before these fools light me on fire.

In Scandinavian mythology there’s only one person who can beat the god Thor in a wrestling match: the elderly woman Elle.

When Thor was asked to wrestle her he laughed, thinking it would be the easiest win of his life, but he had to admit defeat within minutes because Elle is no ordinary old lady. She is the personification of aging itself, and no one can beat age.

She is the symbol of aging and badass grandmas.
